What a fantastic day we had at Seaburn Dene Primary School as we celebrated National Poetry Day with a wonderful poetry recital! Our students showcased their creativity and talent, making it a memorable event for everyone.
We are thrilled to announce our overall winner and KS1 winner, Calista, who delivered a captivating performance of From A Railway Carriage by Robert Louis Stevenson.
In the EYFS category, congratulations to Mabel, who delighted us with Out and About by Shirley Hughes.
Our KS2 winners, Neve, Esme, and Amelie, mesmerized us with their rendition of I Asked the Little Boy Who Cannot See.
We also want to recognize those who were highly commended: Leo, Ewan, and Lyla Rose. Your hard work and passion for poetry truly shone through!
Thank you to all the students who participated, the teachers for their support, and the parents for encouraging our budding poets. We are so proud of every one of our performers!
