This Christmas season has been filled with joy, reflection, and celebration at our school.
Our amazing school choir had a wonderful time singing Christmas carols at Cuthbertson Court Sheltered Accommodation, where their beautiful voices filled the room with joy and brought smiles to everyone’s faces. We are so proud of their hard work and the kindness they showed in spreading festive cheer to our local community.
Meanwhile, our Christmas Prayer Space provided a calm and reflective environment for children to explore the true meaning of Christmas. Years 3-6 had the opportunity to learn the Nativity story in a creative and engaging way with support from Wearside Youth for Christ—helping them connect with its themes in a fresh and meaningful format.
We also welcomed our friends from New Springs Church on Fulwell Road, who led a Christingle-making activity for the children. It was a wonderful seasonal tradition that brought joy while encouraging reflection on hope, love, and community.
Adding to the festive spirit, our Early Years children delighted us with their beautiful Songs Around the Christmas Tree, and Year 1/2 amazed everyone with their fantastic Nativity performance.
The celebrations culminated in a spectacular whole school music concert featuring performances on violin, keyboard, and guitar, as well as a special appearance by the school choir. It was a wonderful showcase of the children’s musical talents and their dedication to learning, leaving everyone feeling proud and full of festive cheer.
A big thank you to everyone who supported and participated in these events. We are so proud of our children for embracing these special experiences and spreading Christmas joy throughout our school and local community. 🎄✨
