We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated classroom teacher who will also lead our school in English - from Nursery to Year 6 - from September 2024.

The successful candidate will join a friendly, hard-working and caring school community and in turn we are looking for a candidate who can show their successful leadership of a subject within the primary curriculum and their passion and vision for English.  Your job isn't just about improving attainment and progress; it's about nurturing resilience and growth in our students, staff, and community. By offering excellent teaching and support, you'll help children overcome challenges, aim for success, and become caring individuals who contribute positively.

You'll lead in teaching and learning, ensuring our English curriculum reflects our values and meets children’s needs. You'll also inspire colleagues to grow and create a supportive environment where everyone can thrive. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring or existing middle leader to join a collaborative team, focused on raising standards and school development for our children.

  • Ideally have experience of teaching across more than one key stage
  • Have a history of successful school improvement in a primary curriculum subject.
  • Have experience of delivering CPD to support staff development
  • Be motivated to engage in further professional development and training

What we will offer:

  • A welcoming, smaller than average primary school with a ‘family’ ethos catering for children aged 3-11 years
  • Children who are well-behaved and have extremely positive attitudes to learning
  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement
  • A hard working, dedicated and supportive staff team.
  • A school which is well-supported by governors and parents
